Detailed itinerary of the 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking & Mount Sabinyo Hiking Safari

Day 1: Arrival and drive to Mgahinga National park

After dropping at the Entebbe international Airport you are picked up and transferred to the Southwest of Uganda. En-route have lunch then continue to the Park and Check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Ikoro lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park

Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to be briefed on conduct around the Mountain gorillas then later in groups of 8 and a park ranger guide, you enter the forest and trek the rare species of mountain Gorillas for a period of 3-5 hours and after a while you meet them and stay in their presence taking man photos to keep. After trekking the Mountain Gorillas, return to lodge for dinner and overnight. Ikoro lodge.

Day 3: Early morning Hike of Mount Sabinyo

Enjoy breakfast then transfer to the starting point where you are briefed on conduct as you hike to the top of mount sabinyo volcano. The summit of the mountain volcano is at 3,645 meters (11,959 ft) you view all the three countries i.e Uganda, Rwanda and democratic republic of congo. Along the slopes you watch mountain gorillas in their natural vegetation habitat.

The Mount Sabinyo hike is a one day hike involving 4 hours to the summit and 4 hours back and this depends on the pace and weather conditions. Walking sticks are provided for free meanwhile the porters are available for hire. Follow through vegetation zones from bamboo zone between 2400 – 2800m ascending with our packed lunch then later embark on descent to the starting point then to lodge for dinner and overnight.
